My first time here! My wife rides with a group of riders from Kingston Canada who have been coming here fo years after apparently discovering it by happenstance during a completely ddifferent vacation many years ago. As I am not a seasoned or experienced cycling I decided to come along to discover road cycling in Italy, an enchanting country we have visited several times in the past. Our visit was clouded by the threat of an Air France strike that country seriously jeopardize our trip should it happen. We had a great trip to Riccione, even though it took more than a day of travel but when we got here we were gratified to find a wonderful, clean, modern establishment with an amazing staff, who can speak five languages, new Scott bikes and a friendly capable bike mechanic staff who were able to correct any of our minor technical difficulties very quiclly and expediciously. The guides who took us along country lanes, travelled highways and up hills with no end were courteous capable and indefatiguable, climbing long hills with amazing ease, unchanging in their cadence and maintaining a steady apprpriate pace. The country side was lovely, with rolling hills, green fields and recently ploughed fields. My only complaints were being unable to maintain the pace up hills without being short of breath, and not having enough time to enjoy the scenery, and not having anyone to explain the amazing history, both recent and ancient of this magnificent coutryside.By the way, Air France did go on strike, which may keep us in this area a little longer, but in any case, we will be back.
