Following a part of the track of the old railway line that once linked Rimini and San Marino and after passing through some of its disused tunnels we enter, almost without realizing it, the “Ancient Land of Freedom”; in other words, the Republic of San Marino where Mount Titano stands 770 metres above us. Its three towers guard the entire coast of Romagna.
We will continue until we are inside the ancient walls, rediscovering traditions and mediaeval ceremonies that are still held here. Nature and history are the main characteristics of the ancient republic. Descending again towards the coast, we will follow the Marano valley, amid clay stone calanques and unusual landscapes to discover the colours and fragrances of a land that is almost wild.
