from Riccione to San Marino.
On that day, two special dedicated programmes will enable you to fully

And in honour of Sangiovese wine, to which the stage is dedicated, a
picnic break has been organized at the Santini winery in Coriano
Giro d`Italia 2019: Sunday
19 May, 9th timed stage Riccione-San Marino
It's nice to see the athletes warm up on the rollers an hour before the
scheduled departure at 11 am as well as watch them during the race. The riders
will start off at a distance of one minute the one from the other. The first to
start will be the last in the ratings and the Champions will start at around 4
pm. You will have the opportunity to see them start from Riccione, or else
watch them climb the hardest part of the road up to San Marino; hence we’ve
prepared two different programmes: the choice is yours.
Programme 1 - those who
choose this programme can watch the Champions start off from Riccione
9.30 am – we’re off for an excursion towards the Marche region before
heading towards San Marino with a stop at Montegiardino in a strategic point
along the climb where we can watch the athletes as they tackle the steepest
part of the stage, one after the other, at a distance of one minute.
1 pm – "picnic party"
break at the Santini winery in Coriano, with piadina and typical products but
especially good Sangiovese wine to which the stage is dedicated.
2.30 pm – departure for Riccione in time to see the Champions start off at around 4 pm.
Programme 2 - those who
choose this programme can watch the Champions climb up to San Marino
9.30 am – we’re free to see the athletes at the start; we’ll see them
warm up and start off at a distance of one minute the one from the other.
12 noon – departure for a bike excursion to San Marino.
2.30 pm – we start again to reach Montegiardino and a strategic point
along the climb. Here we can see the
Champions as they tackle the hardest part of the climb, one after the
other, at a distance of one minute.
4.30 pm – departure for Riccione and arrival at about 5.30 pm.
The choice is yours. Have fun!
