It’s the perfect opportunity to discover Cervia—an enchanting town rich in history—and to soak up the unique atmosphere of the Giro.

Sunday, May 17, 2026 | Cervia - Stage Start On Sunday, May 17, Hotel Dory turns pink. The Giro d'Italia is much more than a race: it’s a festival, a rush of adrenaline, a piece of history. We’ve created an exclusive event designed to let you experience the thrill of the stage start in Cervia without any logistical worries. Enjoy an all-inclusive service from the starting line to the finish (of our return trip!). An experience open to everyone: cyclists (of all levels) and non-cycling companions.
Morning Program: Heading Toward the Magic
9:00 AM - Departure: Meet in Riccione for a comfortable train transfer (approx. 50 min) to Cervia. No traffic, no stress. For Cyclists: Your bikes will travel safely in our van and will be waiting for you upon arrival.
Giro Village & Atmosphere: Once in Cervia, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the "Giro Village." You can see the champions up close, check out the team buses, watch the mechanics at work, and breathe in the electric pre-race atmosphere.
12:00 PM - The Start: We will watch the official stage kickoff live. Seeing the peloton whiz by at the start is a unique thrill.
Buffet on the Sand: After the stage begins, we’ll enjoy a moment of relaxation with a sea view. A special beach buffet featuring local products and specialties prepared by the Hotel Dory Chef, served right on the sand.
Afternoon: Two Ways to Return
For the return to Riccione (arrival expected around 6:00 PM), we have organized two distinct experiences:
1. FOR CYCLISTS: Ride Back We’ll get back in the saddle and ride toward the hotel, led by our expert Dory guides. Depending on the number of participants, we guarantee 2 or 3 distinct guided groups to ensure the right pace for everyone:
"Leisure" Option (Easy): A flat, relaxing route along the coast, ideal for cycle tourists.
"Cappuccino & Limoncino" Options (Medium/Challenging): Routes that detour inland for those seeking elevation gain and a workout. (Note: 2 groups guaranteed for up to 16 participants; 3 distinct groups guaranteed for over 18 participants).
2. FOR COMPANIONS: Cultural Minibus Tour Those not riding will enjoy an afternoon discovering the gems of Romagna, returning comfortably by minibus with two exceptional stops:
Stop in Cesenatico: A walk along the magnificent Canal Port designed by Leonardo da Vinci, admiring the ancient fishing boats (Trabaccoli) at the Maritime Museum.
Stop in Verucchio: A visit to the village and the evocative Malatesta Fortress, the cradle of the Malatesta dynasty, offering a breathtaking view of the valley.
